We are looking for anyone who is eager to contribute to our project’s success. In particular, we welcome individuals with business experience and skills, including marketing, social media content creation, management, and product development. Creative skills, such as fashion design, graphics design, photography, and videography, as well as experienced jewelry makers, weavers, sewers, and carpenters are also much needed. In addition, we invite those wishing to learn how to create traditional African handicrafts. Our program is open to anyone who is interested, open, and passionate about contributing to our community.
A visa can be applied for online (requires a long time up to 30days and is not guaranteed for volunteer visa) or easily bought on arrival at the point of entry.
To work at our projects as a volunteer you would need to have a volunteer visa for which you pay $50. This visa allows you to do unpaid job for up to 90 days. To extend your volunteering time you will need to pay for a work visa which will cost you $250 for another 90 days. In case you want to volunteer for more than 6 months, it is best to communicate with our support team who you can discuss on how to go about the experience and possibly process a work permit before booking flights and traveling to Tanzania as it may require time.
The visa can be applied for online on the Tanzanian Immigration department website or bought at the point of entry. We strongly advise our volunteers to get the visa at point of arrival as it is easier and is not time consuming in comparison to the online one. To get this visa you need to show the invitation letter from our NGO to work at our project and copy of our NGO registration certificate to the immigration officer and pay $50.
The closest international Airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport. Once you have confirmed your volunteer booking arrival dates and departure dates our team will organize timely pick up and drop off which are both already paid for in the volunteer fees. Our driver will have your name on a board at the airport to pick you up. For those who arrive in Arusha by bus our driver will pick you up from the bus station at the time of arrival. It should be noted that continuous updates on your trip is vital to help us pick you up on time.
Our project runs throughout the year but when it comes to the best time to come and volunteer we will break it down based on things that may be a key factors to one based on budget, weather and things that you may want to do on weekends like safaris and exploring the country.
